It takes a village to...
The concept underpinning e-Village is a cost-effective platform designed to facilitate the supply chain management of essential food products and services (including health screening, medical services, and legal services) for unbanked and previousely disadvantaged communities. It aims to negotiate favorable rates for these products and services at their source. This initiative is geared towards providing distribution access points, referred to as "e-Village points" or "e-Spazas," within low-income areas. The underlying mechanism for managing community sustainability and prosperity relies on a Crypto contract-based component integrated into the e-Village solution, ensuring that profits remain within these communities and do not dissipate into other sectors.
This digital platform fundamentally offers a cashless solution tailored for the unbanked population while also effectively overseeing trust within the domains of supply logistics, purchases, and distribution. e-Village will be accessible through a smartphone application and a web portal for personal computers and tablets, catering to street vendors, spaza shop owners, and eventually their customers.
